During this session I demonstrate live how to embroider the Immaculate Heart and Sacred Heart you can see in the photos. The kit includes all that is necessary to complete the heart and I explain the techniques so that you can make your own version.
The session was recorded for you to have as future reference and the link to the recording won't expire so you can watch it whenever you want.
The cost of the workshop includes the kit with all the supplies to complete the project (printed pattern, fabrics, needles, threads, metals, sword, frame, etc.)
Please, note that the swords will vary in style, size and shape.
Apart from what's included in the kit you will need:
- 6 inches hand free embroidery hoop
- Goldwork embroidery scissors or embroidery scissors that you will use only to cut metals.
- Embroidery scissors. I recommend these double curved embroidery scissors
- A velvet board or soft surface to cut the metals (ie. piece of felt)
- Mellor (optional)
- Tweezers (optional)
- Heat erasable pen for fabric such as PILOT FriXion or a pencil.
During these sessions you will learn all the process from the very beginning when you trace the pattern to the last stitch of the design.
After completing the class you will be able to build and embroider your own goldwork heart and frame it for display. This workshop is ideal for those wanting to learn goldwork & Stumpwork techniques but also for those with experience that would like to to create their own versions of the heart.
